Visiting Machu Pichhu is truly a bucket list experience and we were so glad to be taken on a private guided tour of one the seven wonders of the world with Inkyani Peru Tours. We opted for the two day, one night tour, which was perfect. We were just in Peru for just 8 days so we didn’t have time to do the popular Inka Trail Trek, which would have taken 4 days.
After arriving in Cusco, we drove directly to the El Albergue Ollantaytambo, roughly a two hour drive.
We were so lucky to stay at the JW Marriott Cusco on our last two days of eight day trip to Peru. I had spend the days before arriving in Cusco at Ollantaytambo and hiking Machu Picchu.
On our adventures in Peru, we decided to go a little off the beaten path and experience some of the true beauty Peru has to offer.

There’s nothing quite like seeing animals in the wild.
In Peru, we enjoyed what we didn’t realize would become a bucket list experience of a lifetime! While perusing TripAdvisor, we noticed that tour company America Viajes offered a tour of swimming with the sea lions.
If you’re planning a trip to California, consider adding San Diego to your list.
