I was so excited to spend Easter afternoon at the Luxe Sunset Boulevard Hotel. It was truly an epic event. As many of you many already know, I am the hugest buffet fan and this was right up my alley. This buffet not only featured the typical omelet station but featured waffles and crepes that were made to order.
Prime Rib and chef sliced ham were featured but most importantly there was the most amazing cold seafood station ever! I usually avoid oysters any time I see them at the buffet but the Easter buffet at the Luxe Sunset featured a chef who was pretty much shucking the oysters to order. I dislike the huge oysters that are usually served at buffets but these were the more expensive, smaller oysters. They were totally fresh, not overly fishy and perfect.
Also featured were crab legs that were already cut open for the guests' convenience, crab claws and shrimp. The crab legs were super meaty and the crab claws were soft and tender (I find claws often to be dry). The meat of both the crab legs and claws were so sweet and just nicely salted from seawater that they didn't even need butter at all. Feast your eyes on the seafood below.
The omelette bar was super delicious but what I really loved was the pasta bar. The pasta was perfectly al dente and I topped it with generous amount of mushrooms, garlic, ham, asparagus and tomatoes with a Alfredo sauce.
There was also a lively jazz bar playing throughout the brunch!
Also included was some alcohol. I treated myself to a virgin bloody mary that was quite nice and you could also order sparkling wine, mimosas or peach Bellinis.
The Luxe Sunset also hosts a Mother's Day Easter brunch buffet, make sure to go check it out!
